The new normal during ‘rush-hour’ at Sheffield railway as people stay home over coronavirus

This was the scene outside Sheffield railway station this morning at what should have been rush hour, as Britain begins day four of coronavirus lockdown.

The desolate image of the station approach, which would normally be thronged with commuters, was shared by British Transport Police to show how people are complying with restrictions and staying home.

South Yorkshire Police also shared photos showing how very different parks and city centre streets currently look, as officers continue to disperse any groups flouting the restrictions.
