Mysterious 'lego-style' NHS artwork pops up in South Yorkshire town

A mysterious artist has installed an NHS tribute in South Yorkshire to help raise funds for frontline workers.

The artwork, which appears to show a Lego-style figure wearing an NHS shirt and cape, has been spotted on the Waverley housing estate, in Rotherham.

A fundraising page has now been set up named to thank the ‘Waverley heroes’ and raise money for the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity, which works to enhance patient care in the area.

It comes after it was revealed that two more people had sadly died in Rotherham after contracting Covid-19, while the number of confirmed cases stands at 478.

Members of the community are being asked to take their picture with the artwork while out on their daily exercise – while adhering to social distancing restrictions – and tweet it to @WaverleyHeroes.
