Panic buying amid the pandemic has seen shoppers empty supermarket shelves of loo roll, and The Leadmill said it wanted to do its bit to help.

“No-one should have to worry about not having basic supplies like toilet rolls at the best of times, never mind in a horrible crisis like this,” it said.

“Seeing people ramp the prices of toilet rolls up to profit off of people's hardship is really upsetting to see. Especially when they are being separated individually which is incredibly unhygienic.”

The venue said it had placed a bulk order with its supplier and was selling sealed packs of four at the cost price of £1.83.

Customers must pre-order before collecting the toilet from the venue on Leadmill Road, which they can do at: www.leadmill.co.uk/product/cost-price-toilet-roll.
