The 22 new coronavirus hotspots in Sheffield - with more than 160 cases between them

As the coronavirus infection rate continues to rise across the UK, there are now more than 20 areas of Sheffield with at least five new cases in the latest week.

Tinsley & Carbrook has had more new cases than anywhere else in the city, with 20 people testing positive for Covid-19 during the week ending September 19, the most recent period for which localised figures are available.

There were 16 confirmed cases during the week in Darnall, 10 in Broomhill & Lower Crookesmoor, and at least five in 19 other neighbourhoods within Sheffield.

Across Sheffield, 292 people tested positive for the virus between September 13 and September 19, giving a weekly infection rate of 49.9 new cases per 100,000 people.
