Sheffield golfers raise more than £12,000 for St Luke’s Hospice

A day of sporting action on the greens at Abbeydale Sports Club saw 35 teams taking part in the 2024 St Luke’s Hospice Golf Day.

The popular sporting challenge was organised in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Sheffield and this year raised more than £12,000.

Headline sponsor was Bruce & Butler and hole sponsors were Jay’s Refractory Specialists, Pricecheck and Townsend Strength.

The day was open to teams of four players – from scratch to 24 handicap golfers –and included dinner and prizes, with first place going to the ladies’ team from St Luke’s

“We were delighted that so many teams wanted to join us for what is always one of our most popular fundraising events,” said St Luke’s Senior Fundraising Manager Laura Martin.
