Sheffield Foyer residents enjoy Christmas Fayre

The Guinness Partnership, one of England’s largest housing associations, recently organised a Christmas Fayre at the Sheffield Foyer - a supported housing scheme Guinness runs, which provides a home, training and support to young formerly homeless people, aged 17-25.
Staff, residents and members of the local community gathered at the Foyer for a day of Christmas cheer. A particular highlight was Santa’s Grotto which was very popular with families, and the children who got to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes.
Guests were treated to a selection of festive sandwiches, mince pies, and seasonal snacks, with entertainment provided by a local brass band performing a selection of classic Christmas music.
A further highlight of the festivities was the uplifting performance by The Choir With No Name - a charity that runs choirs for people affected by homelessness and other challenges, whose singing provided a memorable treat.
Everyone had a great time with residents commenting:
Omar said: “It was my first time going to a Christmas event and the music was fantastic. It was a different and fun Christmas experience. It was also the first time I have heard a brass band.”
Mary added: “I really enjoyed the songs, the choir and the brass band. I enjoyed taking part and there was a really good vibe. I really enjoyed seeing Santa. I would say the choir was the best part.”
Charles said: “It was the best Santa I have ever seen! I really enjoyed the food. I won tickets to a comedy show which I am really looking forward to.”
Samantha Mobbs, Foyer manager commented: “We would like to thank everyone who came and helped make the Christmas fayre such a success. Everyone looked so happy and enjoyed themselves.”
