Frecheville Carnival has finally returned, almost 18 years after it last hit the streets in the neighbourhood.
And organisers were delighted with the event, which saw entertainment centred around Frecheville Community Centre, throughout a large chunk of last Saturday.
We have put together a gallery showing 16 pictures which capture the fun.
Vanessa Oakes, one of the organisers behind the return of the event, was delighted.
She said: “It was a great success even with a downpour of rain in the middle of it.
“The performers were amazing, the stall holders were very busy. The volunteers worked so hard all day, they didn't stop.
“We raised a massive £2,123 for the upkeep of Frecheville Community Centre and also £787 for Weston Park Hospital.”
Vanessa added that next year's carnival will be Saturday, June 21 if anyone wants to get in touch to help with the planning.
The Frecheville Carnival dates back to the 1930s, but had not run since 2006.
