Yorkshire Water gives update on leak saga on Sheffield inner ring road
Drinking water had been washing across the three-lane carriageway for up to three months.
Yorkshire Water has fixed a long-standing leak on one of Sheffield’s busiest roads.
The business said it sent a contractor to St Mary’s Road on the inner ring road on the evening of Tuesday, September 29.

Today, fresh earth can be seen at the site and the road is dry.
Drinking water had been bubbling up and washing across the three-lane carriageway for up to three months.
Yorkshire Water last week said it had sent repair crews to the site before revealing it had made a mistake.
The latest fix comes after leaks nearby on St Mary’s Road and Shoreham Street that closed lanes and caused congestion earlier this year.
