Bankers Draft Sheffield: Wetherspoon reopens after makeover to bar and kitchen
Popular Sheffield Wetherspoon pub reopens after major refurbishment
A popular Sheffield Wetherspoon pub has reopened its doors after undergoing a major refurbishment.
The Bankers Draft, near Castle Square, welcomed customers back today (August 22) following almost two weeks of work.
The city centre watering hole was bustling with customers by midday, with people returning to the pub for food and drinks after missing their usual spot during the closure.
The refurbishment has seen the downstairs bar completely refreshed, with walkways opened up between the bar and seating area to create a more open layout.

The kitchen has also undergone a full refit as part of the works.
The upstairs bar has been upgraded too, giving the pub a refreshed look throughout.
The Bankers Draft originally closed on August 10 and had been due to reopen on Monday, August 17.
However, bosses said the scale of the work became clear once the downstairs bar and kitchen were removed, leading to a six-day delay.
A Wetherspoon spokesperson previously said: "As we removed the downstairs bar and kitchen, it became clear there was a lot more work to do than initially anticipated.
"We've added a little more restoration work to the project whilst we had the extra time to do it."
The pub is now back open and is preparing to celebrate 30 years of JD Wetherspoon at the location with its Bankers Birthday Bash on Wednesday, August 26.
