New store heading to popular Sheffield retail park amid ambitious plans to more than double their customers
“This is only the beginning – we’re determined to accelerate our growth,” says the chief executive of a store which will soon be arriving in the Steel City
A highly successful store, which is already thriving in Doncaster and many other parts of the UK, will soon be arriving in Sheffield as part of the chief executive's ambitious plans to take the retailer to new heights.
Founded in 1971, Jollyes is one of the UK’s largest specialist pet retailers, operating more than 100 stores across the country.

The company specialises in selling everything pet-related whether it’s food, toys or accessories. It’s rapidly becoming one of the leading retailers across the country and boasts impressive 4.3 star reviews on Google based on feedback from more than 500 customers.
Over the 12-month period, 14 new stores helped Jollyes deliver total revenue growth of 8.7 per cent as sales hit £169m. This makes it the fastest growing pet-retailer in the UK at present.
Jollyes currently has 123 stores in operation throughout the country, with the closest being at Wheatley Hall Road in Doncaster. However, Sheffielders will soon have one even closer to home, with organisers announcing plans to open one in Asda Drakehouse, Beighton Road East, in a move which further enhances an already popular retail park in the Steel City.
It’s one of just a number of new stores opening across the country amid plans to add new locations in Evesham, Great Yarmouth, Seaham and Mansfield as well.
And that’s just the beginning, according to Adam Dury, Jollyes’ chief executive officer, who said:“This was a strong year for Jollyes as we transformed our offer, built our store network at pace and invested in our colleagues.
“But this is only the beginning – we’re determined to accelerate our growth as we bring Jollyes’ value to more places to serve more communities.
“This full-year growth reflects the strength of our value strategy and the growing loyalty of pet owners across the UK, giving us real confidence as we push ahead with our five-year plans to double the size of the business.
“Our compelling price leadership, combined with the expertise of our people and the continued development and innovation in our ranges, gives us an exciting platform for our ambitious plans to grow.”
