Fancy running a pub in Sheffield city centre? West Street boozer needs a new tenant
A popular Sheffield city centre pub is up for grabs as the owners seek a new tenant to run the lively drinking spot.
Bloo 88 on West Street, which is well-known by locals and students for its wood fired Pizza and 2-4-1 cocktail deals in the heart of the city centre, is seeking a new tenant to rent the premises.
The drinking spot which is owned by pub chain Greene King is on the market to be rented for £1,019 a week which amounts to £53,000 across 12 months.
While the pub has a spacious, open plan bar downstairs, upstairs Bloo 88 has a private function room which includes a private bar area which is available for hire to businesses and members of the public.
The upstairs space can accommodate 130 people and the lively drinking spot nestled in the bustling West Street also has a beer garden to the rear of the property.
Bloo 88 also offers paid for cocktail making masterclasses and owners cite students from the city’s universities as driving the pub’s sales, alongside circuit trade.
The pub is offering a fixed five year tenancy agreement for the new owners and projecting a forecasted operator profit of £53,190 – which includes machine profit.
The Sheffield city centre boozer is in a partial tie agreement – where all beer, cider and minerals are tied – according to Greene King, this will allow tenants to have more freedom purchasing products from other suppliers, compared to a pub which is owned by a brewery.
