These Sheffield gym classes can go ahead despite tier three restrictions

Sheffield City Trust bosses have revealed their fitness classes in the city can continue as normal despite new tier three coronavirus restrictions.

After talks with Sheffield City Council the trust said it was ‘pleased to confirm that the restrictions that had been imposed on fitness classes have been lifted’.

A spokesperson said on Friday: “We know how important fitness classes are to our customers and on a recent survey 97% of said that they felt safe attending these, so we are delighted that these can remain on our timetable.

"Any bookings for classes Saturday onwards have been cancelled so customers will need to re-book their places.

"Our timetable will continue to run as previously advertised. New classes will launch at Ponds Forge when it reopens on Monday, October 26 and these will go live later this evening, please keep an eye on our social media channels for these new classes being available to book.”
