But does Tier 3, which comes into force tomorrow (Saturday, October 24) prevent you from doing so?

Meadowhall said its shops, cafes, restaurants and bars are open, despite the city being escalated to a ‘Very High’ alert level.

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FACE COVERING?

Yes- shoppers must wear a face covering inside Meadowhall at all times, unless they are fully seated in a designated dining area. This is a legal requirement.

CAN I MEET FRIENDS/FAMILY AT MEADOWHALL?

Shoppers must not visit the centre with anybody that is not part of their household or support bubble.

WHAT HAS CLOSED AT THE CENTRE UNDER TIER 3?

In line with government guidance, Ladbrokes and the soft play area in Rock Up are currently closed.

WHAT TIME DO THE RESTAURANTS IN THE OASIS SHUT?

Cafes and restaurants at the centre will close at 10pm, in line with government guidance.

CAN I TRAVEL TO MEADOWHALL FROM ANOTHER COUNTY?

To help manage the risk of transmission, the government is advising people not to travel into or out of an area if it has been categorised as a Very High alert level area.

HOW CAN I PROTECT MYSELF AND OTHERS WHILE SHOPPING?

You can stay safe by washing your hands regularly, wearing a face covering in enclosed spaces, staying at least two metres apart from other shoppers and using contactless payment methods where possible.

There are hand sanitising stations, new signage and one-way/ keep left systems to support social distancing and red / green indicators on store fronts to show if visitors are able to safely enter or not, depending on capacity. There are also alexiglass screen barriers at visitor desks and enhanced cleaning regimes, including regular cleaning of key touchpoints throughout the day.

WILL I HAVE TO QUEUE?

If the centre becomes particularly busy, staff may ask you to queue considerately in a designated area outside, and they may also temporarily close the car parks.

HAVE CHANGES BEEN MADE TO THE CAR PARKS?

Your usual way of entering may have changed, as the centre have put one-way / keep left systems in place to help support social distancing.

You can now enter and exit the centre through The Arcade Doors.

You can now enter and exit the centre through The Lower Atrium Doors near M&S.

The centre also adapted our car parks to help everyone keep a safe distance when visiting:

Red Car Park - lower level closed

Yellow Car Park - lower level closed

Pink Car Park - upper level for access via House of Fraser only

All other car parks will be open as usual.
