Postal strike Sheffield: Warning of disruption as strike hits Sheffield Post Office

Unions are warning of disruption at Sheffield Post Office today as the Communication Workers Union (CWU) takes strike action.

Members at sites including Sheffield City, at Haymarket, will be striking today, while action by supply chain and administrative workers action on Thursday will affect sub-post offices.

Crown Post Office in Sheffield among scores shut as staff strike over pay

The dispute is against Post Office management’s current three per cent pay offer for the 2022-23 financial year, plus a one-off lump sum payment of £500. They union says the offer is well below inflation.
