Opening date for huge JD Sports at Meadowhall which will be second-largest in UK
It will be the second-largest JD Sports in the UK
A giant JD Sports is opening this month at Meadowhall after its longest ever refurbishment project.
The clothing chain is set to unveil its new look on Thursday, July 30, The Star understands.

It follows 14 months of closure and the relocation of five other shops to create the second-largest JD Sports in the UK.
The store on High Street will reopen triple the size of its old unit after it took space vacated by Superdrug, Ann Summers, TUI, Gashapon and Subway.

Announcing the project in March last year, James Air, director of group acquisitions at JD, said it would have almost 200ft of ‘prime frontage’.
Two years ago, rival Sports Direct moved from The Gallery to a much bigger space in the former Debenhams at the end of The Avenue.
JD has outlets on The Moor in Sheffield city centre and at St James Retail Park at Meadowhead.
