Pub bosses have confirmed that a famous Sheffield pub, which featured in The Full Monty, has a secure future.
They spoke out after a board appeared on the side of The Blake Hotel, near Walkley, advertising for people to run it - and sparking concerns on social media.

In response, pub company Trust Inns, which owns the well known venue, has confirmed the watering hole has a secure future and the firm remains committed to the future of The Blake and to its continued role within the local community.

“The current tenants’ agreement is approaching the end of its term, and they have decided not to renew for a further period. As a result, we have commenced the process of recruiting a new tenant to take the business forward.
“We are actively seeking interested parties and would welcome enquiries from anyone who may be interested in becoming the next operator of The Blake Hotel. Further information can be obtained through our website or via the contact details displayed on the recruitment board at the pub.”
Existing staff at the site will be protected in accordance with employment rules, they added, helping to provide continuity for both the workforce and customers.
