These photos show how quickly the huge new attraction beside Rother Valley Country Park, just over the border from Sheffield, has taken shape.

Its planned spring opening was delayed due to coronavirus but an announcement on the new opening date is expected this week.

Zoos have already been allowed to reopen and the Government is widely predicted to announce that theme parks and other outdoor attractions can open from July 4, with the latest easing of lockdown restrictions.

Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts has yet to announce an opening date for its newest site.

The 250-acre theme park will feature more than 50 rides and other attractions once open, including an indoor climbing centre and a Lost Jurassic World zone with lifelike dinosaurs.
