The fashion chain is closing its shop at Fox Valley in Stocksbridge after terminating its lease early.

A spokeswoman said they were hoping to find staff jobs in other local stores.

She added: “The store will reopen after lockdown and we anticipate trading there until mid July this year. No other stores in the Sheffield area are affected.”

A spokeswoman for Dransfield Properties, which owns Fox Valley, said: “Next made the decision to exercise their break notice in January 2021 and terminate their lease early after five years.

“Although we are sad to see Next leave Fox Valley, our estates team have been working hard to fill the void and we look forward to making an announcement in the coming weeks.”

The centre has 46 retail and hospitality units and 13 offices. Occupancy is said to be 96 per cent.
