This year’s panto features former Coronation Street star Wendi Peters, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Maxwell Thorpe and CBeebies favourite Waffle the Wonder Dog. Legendary Sheffield Dame Damian Williams, Marc Pickering, Sam Turrell, Joey Wilby and Sarah Freer are also among the cast for what promises to be a magical show.
This year’s panto is written and directed by Paul Hendy and produced by the same team behind Cinderella in 2019, with audiences promised ‘stunning sets, comedy, audience participation and breath-taking special effects’. It is a co-production between Sheffield Theatres and Evolution Productions, which has won UK Pantomime of the Year in four of the last six years. Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield from Friday, December 2, 2022 to Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
