Sheffield artist Pete McKee all set to reopen gallery to public

Sheffield artist Pete McKee’s gallery is finally reopening more than a year after it had to close during the pandemic.

The artist’s gallery on Sharrow Vale Road will open its doors again on Thursday, April 15. Until now it had been restricted to click and collect only but visitors will be able to browse inside again.

Only two households will be allowed in a time, visitors must socially distance, wear a mask and use the hand sanitiser provided and use a card to pay where possible.

The gallery’s opening hours are Wednesday to Friday 1pm to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm.Pete has been busy online during the pandemic, including putting on art classes for children and holding two web-based exhibitions of new work. He has just been working on his contribution to the Bears of Sheffield sculpture trail of identical bears decorated by different artists, in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
