Sheffield shopping centre set to hold first artisan markets - here's the details you need to know

The team behind You Said Yes events are bringing the new series of markets to Fox Valley in Stocksbridge, kicking off with the first event on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.The markets aim to host the very best of local makers, bakers, crafters, artisans and general traders selling high-quality products.The trader line-up of more than 30 stalls will include Waterton’s Reserve Gin, Pokaty Artwork, Becci’s Books, Poppins Handbags and Accessories, Whinstones Barn Interiors, Sweetiebiz and Silver by Victoria.Nicola Smith from You Said Yes events said she feels passionate about supporting local businesses and giving them the best opportunities to trade following a year of lockdown measures.She said: “Quality, independent businesses are at the heart of everything we do and our aim is to make the very best of our region’s artisan traders accessible for everyone, hosting our markets at beautiful venues such as Fox Valley.

“The artisan markets at Fox Valley will be a fantastic way for local people to support their local independent traders following a year of really tough restrictions.”Outdoor markets at Fox Valley are subject to Covid-19 safety measures which include wide footpaths, a one-way travel system around the market and hand sanitisers available on every stall.The markets will also take place on Sundays August 29, November 28 and December 19.Claire Reynolds from the Fox Valley management team said: “We are excited to collaborate with You Said Yes events on this series of outdoor markets hosted here at Fox Valley, they are bringing a fantastic line-up of independent traders to the centre”.“Our outdoor markets have proved a popular way for our customers to shop safely outdoors throughout the past year, with customer and staff safety remaining our top priority.”
