Hide AdBut rather than just instinct, Toney admitted that Brentford had been watching clip of Dawson – like they do all their opponents – and picked up on the point that Dawson often parries long range shots.
Toney told Sky Sports: “We look at it before the games. Obviously certain keepers parry it and we noticed it today that the keeper parries it a yard either side and I just gambled and it paid off.”
Toney scored the winner after after out-muscling Moses Odubajo to head in from a corner.
