A woman had a lucky escape after a tree hit her car as she was driving along a Derbyshire road.

She was travelling along the A6012 Beeley to Rowsley road when a tree toppled onto her car.

Motorists in Sheffield are unable to use Quiet Lane between the bridge and Mayfield Road, Fulwood, because of an uprooted tree.

Streets Ahead workers have been informed of the blockage.

They have also been alerted to branches on the road in Hangingwater Road, Nether Green and an uprooted tree on Catley Road, Darnall.
