All bin collections cancelled in Sheffield due to snow - here's what you should do

All bin collections have been cancelled in Sheffield due to heavy snow overnight.

Veolia, the city’s waste and recycling contractor, said this morning: “Due to snow and ice, no recycling or waste bin collections will be operating today. We apologise for any inconvenience."

People have been told to leave their black bins out until they are emptied.

For people whose recycling was due to be collected today, another collection is planned on Saturday, when bins should be out by 7am.
