A number of rail services serving Sheffield railway station this afternoon have been cancelled
 A number of rail services due to serve Sheffield this afternoon have been cancelled, due to overhead wire damage.Â

 The damage has been caused to overhead wires between York and Darlington, but has led to a number of rail services scheduled to travel through Sheffield being cancelled. 

The Sheffield services cancelled are: 

 '“ the 12.52 to Newcastle via Doncaster

 '“ the 12.55 to Plymouth

 '“ the 13.24 to Southampton Central

A spokesman for National Rail said: 'Disruption is expected until 3pm.'
