A CCTV image has been issued of a man police want to trace after an attempted robbery of a building society in Chesterfield.
Detectives issued the image soon after a man walked into the Nottingham Building Society in Burlington Street and demanded money on Friday, June 17, but only one person came forward with information.
It is believed the man police want to speak to could hold vital information about the attempted hold up.
Nothing was taken during the incident after the offender fled empty-handed through a fire exit at the back of the building.
Detective Constable Julian Hall said: “We only had one response to the initial appeal, which unfortunately didn’t help me. If anyone does recognise the man I’d be very pleased to hear from them.”
Call DC Hall at Derbyshire Police on 101, quoting crime number 26441/16.
Information can also be passed on by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
