Pair appear in court over suspected shooting in Sheffield

Two men have been charged in connection with a suspected firearms incident in the Woodthorpe area of Sheffield in March this year.

Sheffield men Martin Sedgwick, 33, of Danewood Avenue, Manor, and Lee Wolf, 25, of Greenland Drive, Darnall, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today charged with possession of a sawn off shotgun with intent to cause unlawful violence, and handling stolen goods.

On Tuesday, March 15 at around 2.20pm, police were called to reports of shots being fired outside a convenience store on Nodder Road.

Sedgwick is also charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Both were remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, July 28.
