A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed outside Hollywood Bowl in Sheffield.

Police were called at around 11pm on Friday night to reports a man had been stabbed outside the bowling alley at Valley Centertainment on Broughton Lane.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in police custody being questioned by officers.

It's understood the incident happened in the car park directly outside Hollywood Bowl and the victim was brought inside the building before paramedics arrived.

One eye-witness said several police cars attended the scene and officers cordoned off the area for several hours.

A police spokesman said his injuries are not life-threatening.
