The niece of a missing Worksop woman has made an emotional appeal for answers to solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance.

Karen Black, aged 36, has not been seen since November 10, 2006, when she had been in the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire.

She caught a train from Worksop and stayed in a guest house but never returned home.

Four men, all from the Cleethorpes area, were arrested on suspicion of murder following a review of the case in 2015, but were later released without charge.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Miss Black's disappearance, her niece, Roxanne Davis, described her as 'fun-loving, family-orientated' aunt as being 'full of life'.

Miss Davis said the mystery around her aunt's disappearance and the thought that she could have been murdered had hit the family hard.

She added: "It is sickening to think someone so close in our family has been murdered.

"We've not been able to find a body and bury her, and say goodbye."

"My nan is in denial, she thinks she wandered off somewhere, but she wasn't like that."

Appealing directly to the public, Miss Davis said: "Please let us know. It's unfair, we can't just live the rest of our lives and not know what happened."

Anyone with information should ring Lincolnshire or Humberside Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
