Have your say

The clock is ticking for the people of Sheffield to have their say on the future of Supertram.

We are in the final week of a public consultation about how the system can be maintained and improved in the future.

Consultation feedback will help transport leaders draft an investment strategy that will seek Government funding to prepare Supertram for the future, and allow services to operate for another 30 years.

So for anyone who is desperate to have the tram running up their road - or are hoping for better links to places like the Northern General Hospital - now is really the time to speak up as it could be decades until the next opportunity comes along.

Around 1,500 people have given their views so far, while Star readers have already suggested possible future destinations for Supertram could include Stocksbridge and Killamarsh.

But many thousands of people who use the trams each week - or would like to - have yet to voice their opinions about what should happen.

So rather than finding out what the results of the study are in a few months time and wishing you had had your say - now is the time to make sure your views are heard and can hopefully be acted on.
