An appeal has been launched after a 24-year-old woman was reportedly knifed in the face on a night out in Sheffield.
The woman was walking with a friend when she was reportedly punched in the face by a 20-year-old man.
But police said that the injuries were later discovered to be more in line with a knife attack, and it is believed that a knife may have been used in the assault.
The woman was walking along Shoreham Street, away from Sheaf Street, in Sheffield city centre at about 3am on Saturday, October 15, when a man believed to be about 20-years-old attacked her and injured her face after verbally threatening her friend.
The woman suffered serious injuries to her lip and face from the attack and was taken to hospital where she received treatment.
The man was with two other men at the time of the reported assault and police would like to speak to them all in relation to the incident.
