A body that was discovered in a car on Tuesday night has been identified as a 46-year-old man from Sheffield.

Police officers were called just before 11.30pm with concerns for the welfare of a man in a vehicle parked on Lilac Road, Beighton.

South Yorkshire Police said while the cause of death is not confirmed, the death has been ruled as not suspicious following a post mortem.

Two Sheffield men aged 50 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and have been released under investigation.
