The following were convicted at Sheffield, Barnsley and Chesterfield magistrates’ courts between January 11 and January 25.

Samuel Joe Barnett: aged 19, of Garden Close, Broom, Rotherham, using threatening or abusive words to cause harassment, alarm and distress, committed a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence, £150 costs, £115 costs, original sentence of 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months extended to 18 months.

Nathan Ahmed Birch: aged 34, of Maltravers Road, Wybourn, criminal damage, £100 fine, £50 compensation, £115 costs.

Daniel David Bull: aged 24, of Severnside Place, Woodhouse, criminal damage, assault, discharged conditionally for six months, £200 compensation, £75 costs.

Samantha Burgin: aged 21, of Milnrow Road, Parson Cross, drink driving, £200 fine, £105 costs, disqualified from obtaining a driving licence for 24 months.

Darry Lee Dowling: aged 20, of Maltravers Road, Wybourn, possession of a Class B drug, discharged conditionally for six months, £115 costs, order for the drugs to be destroyed.

Jordan Lee Fowles: aged 26, of Brightmore Drive, Netherthorpe, theft, discharged conditionally for six months, £115 costs.

Lee Malcolm Gavin: aged 39, of no fixed address, assault, theft, two months in prison, £115 costs.

Tony Stephen Kay: aged 33, of Pot House Lane, Stocksbridge, assaulted a police constable in the execution of their duty, failure to comply with community requirement of a suspended sentence order, 16 weeks in prison, £200 costs.

Sohail Hussain: aged 26, of Balfour Road, Darnall, possession of a Class B drug, discharged conditionally for six months, £105 costs, order for the drugs to be destroyed.

Douglas Spencer Smith: aged 60, of Tannery Close, Woodhouse, criminal damage, discharged conditionally for six months, £90 costs.

Connor White: aged 20, of Scowerdons Close, Hackenthorpe, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen, £120 fine, £115 costs, disqualified from obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
