Sheffield Theatres appoints international arts professional to emerging producer scheme
Sheffield Theatres has appointed arts professional Linxi Shi to a year-long development programme for emerging theatre producers.

Linxi is one of eight producers selected for the paid scheme, which places participants within some of the UK's leading theatres.
At Sheffield Theatres, Linxi will spend 12 months gaining experience across producing, programming, co-productions and in-house projects. The placement is designed to deepen understanding of how theatre organisations work and how they create opportunities for audiences and artists.
Her background spans theatre, festivals and outdoor arts. Before joining Sheffield Theatres, Linxi worked as Programme Coordinator at the Lowry and Festival Partnerships Manager at Without Walls.
She was originally trained in film and television production in China, before studying theatre, film and performance design in the UK and later completing a master's degree in curating contemporary design. Sheffield Theatres said that varied creative background has shaped her approach to producing.
