Sheffield residents enjoy summer party with Motown music
Residents at Applegarth Close, an independent living housing scheme, recently enjoyed their summer party.

The party took place indoors and on the outside patio area where residents could enjoy each other’s company with plenty of conversation and laughter.
The residents listened to music - with Motown being a popular choice and they enjoyed a delicious selection of hot and cold food - including hamburgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, sausage rolls and crisps.

The party culminated with residents enjoying strawberries and cream while watching the men’s Wimbledon tennis final.
Applegarth social club in Sheffield has regular events for residents including coffee mornings, a breakfast club, quiz nights and themed events including the football World Cup and Wimbledon final.
Georgina Riley, of the Guinness Partnership said: “I am incredibly proud of the community we have built together. The positive engagement, mutual respect, and active participation of our residents make this scheme a special place to live. I would like to thank everyone who contributes to events and activities, especially those behind the scenes whose dedication ensures their success. It’s inspiring to see our residents enjoying meaningful social opportunities, and we are committed to continuing to foster an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and connected.”
