The award recognises schools in the city that are making a significant difference in making sure all children have access to physical activity, sport and opportunities to lead healthy, active lifestyles, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Hatfield’s success highlights the academy’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all pupils have access to and enjoy physical activity and sport.

Katy Richard, Principal of Hatfield Academy, said: "We were incredibly proud to be announced the winners at the awards ceremony at the English Institute of Sport.

"Ensuring that every child has the opportunity to participate in sport and physical activity is a key priority at Hatfield and we are overjoyed that our commitment has been recognised in this way.

"This award is a testament to the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils, and the continued support of our families. I would like to thank all of them for their continued support.”
