Meadowhall unveils free and low-cost family activities for October half-term
Meadowhall has put together a list of half-term activities aimed at families looking for affordable ways to keep children busy during the school break.

The centre’s Halloween-themed light show is running every 15 minutes from 4pm to 9pm until October 31, with the giant curtain outside the Oasis Dining Quarter set to feature spooky sound effects.
Other options include bath bomb-making sessions at Lush on selected dates, costing £8 per person, and kids-eat-free dining at Frankie & Benny’s in the Oasis Dining Quarter until November 1, where children get a free main, two sides, a drink and dessert with every paying adult main.
Families can also catch films at Vue, where selected titles are available from £2.49 with Mighty Mornings bookings, while Big Shorts screenings for one- to four-year-olds start from £3.99 online.
For something more active, Lane7 is offering bowling for £25 for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children. Meadowhall also lists Halloween doughnuts, themed cookies, arts and crafts supplies and a pumpkin hunt at Fun Station from October 26 to November 1.
Centre director Darren Pearce said the offers could help parents during the holidays.
