Look out for the Blues Brothers at Emmaus Sheffield
Break out the snazzy sunglasses, the sharp black suits and the pork pie hats…the Blues Brothers are heading for homelessness charity Emmaus Sheffield.

Emmaus Sheffield is the working community with quality, self-contained accommodation, training facilities and a workspace for previously homeless men and women aged 18 years and over.
It aims through its Social Enterprise programme to provide meaningful work and enable the people it supports – known as companions - to eventually become self-supporting once more.
And it is companion Darren Robinson who has come up with the idea of a special Blue Brothers Fancy Dress Week at the Emmaus Sheffield headquarters in Cadman Street in support of one of his favourite charities.
Darren lost his father to Multiple Sclerosis and decided he wanted to do something positive to honour his memory.
So from October 26 he will be hosting a fancy dress week themed around The Blues Brothers, the cult 1980 musical action comedy starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.
“Here at Emmaus we are committed to supporting other charities that our companions feel passionate about,” said Emmaus Sheffield Marketing and Development Manager Charley Fedorenko.
“Darren, who is a recent new companion at Emmaus Sheffield, came up with the wonderful idea to support MS Society in memory of his late father who sadly passed away after a 30 year battle with the condition.
“Darren is passionate about raising awareness for families and careers who are living with loved ones suffering with MS and here at Emmaus we are proud to be part of his fundraising.
“Any donations big or small will be greatly appreciated to fund ongoing research and provide support to families being impacted by MS.”
Staff and visitors are being encouraged to get in the Blues Brothers spirit by dressing in the stars’ distinctive style when they visit.
