Lighthouse Family to play Sheffield City Hall as part of major anniversary tour
British pop-soul favourites Lighthouse Family are heading back out on the road with a UK tour marking the anniversary of their landmark debut album, Ocean Drive.

The pair will appear at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday, March 7, 2027, as part of a run of dates scheduled throughout that month. The shows will focus on Ocean Drive alongside a selection of the duo's biggest tracks.
Formed in Newcastle during the early 1990s by singer Tunde Baiyewu and songwriter, keyboardist and producer Paul Tucker, Lighthouse Family grew to become one of the country's most commercially successful acts, amassing global sales of more than 15 million albums.
Their 1995 debut introduced Baiyewu’s rich vocal delivery and Tucker’s melodic arrangements, producing singles such as “Lifted”, “Ocean Drive” and “Goodbye Heartbreak”. The record went on to achieve six-times platinum certification in the UK. They repeated that commercial benchmark with 1997's follow-up Postcards from Heaven, which spawned hits including “High”, “Raincloud” and “Lost in Space”.
The duo followed those releases with Whatever Gets You Through the Day in 2001, before making a chart comeback in 2019 with Blue Sky in Your Head. That release, their first studio LP in 18 years, reached number three in the UK album chart.
Tickets for the tour go on general sale on Friday, October 23.
