Gulliver's Theme Park Resorts celebrates major success at awards

Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts has been named the UK’s Best Theme Park for Families at the UK Theme Park Awards.

The family-owned business, which operates Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath and Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham, won Gold for Best Theme Park for Families and silver for Best Theme Park for Toddlers at the ceremony held at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The awards are organised by Theme Parks UK and voted for by members of the public.

Gulliver’s was also nominated in other categories, including Best Brand Activation for partnerships featuring Dennis & Gnasher and Bing & Flop, Best Theme Park Animal Exhibit for Valley Wildlife at Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham and Best Value Theme Park.

Gulliver’s was founded by Ray Phillips and his late wife Hilary, who opened Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath in 1978. It has grown into one of the UK’s leading destinations for families with children aged two to 13.

Today, the business is led by managing director Julie Dalton, daughter of Ray and Hilary Phillips, alongside her brother Nick Phillips. Dalton said the recognition across multiple categories reflects the work of teams across all four resorts and thanked everyone who voted and families who continue to choose Gulliver’s for days out and short breaks.
