Free Christmas pantomime to bring festive cheer and Nativity story to Sheffield families
Sheffield families are invited to experience the magic of Christmas with a free pantomime production, courtesy of the Lowedges community hub Eden.
This marks the hub's first-ever festive show, promising a unique blend of traditional family entertainment and the timeless story of the Nativity.
Eden has partnered with 4Front Theatre, a professional Christian theatre company, to stage this special Christmas pantomime. Audiences can anticipate an evening filled with laughter, music, and plenty of audience participation, all woven around the message of hope central to the Christmas narrative.
The production aims to provide local families with an accessible opportunity to enjoy the excitement of a traditional pantomime while engaging with the Nativity story in a fresh and entertaining manner.
Performances are scheduled across two days: Friday, December 18, and Saturday, December 19. Both days will feature lunchtime and evening shows.
On Friday, December 18, a lunchtime performance will commence at 12.30pm, followed by an evening show at 6.30pm. Both Friday performances will take place at Eden Hub, located at 108 Lowedges Road, Sheffield, S8 7LD.
The schedule for Saturday, December 19, includes further performances at 12.30pm and 6.30pm. The evening performance on Saturday is listed for Dore Community Centre.
This collaboration with 4Front Theatre brings professional Christian theatre directly to the local community, utilising the popular pantomime format to share the Christmas story in a lively, family-friendly, and engaging way. Eden hopes the event will serve as a focal point for community gathering during the festive season, enabling families, friends, and neighbours to share a memorable experience close to home.
