Easy Street Theatre Company brings festive cheer with 'Elf: The Musical' this December
The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear…and that’s exactly what Easy Street Theatre Company are aiming to do as they give Sheffield a classic Festive treat with a new production of hit family favourite Elf: The Musical!
The acclaimed youth theatre company will be presenting the popular West End Christmas comedy favourite at Merlin Theatre in Nether Edge for just two performances on December 5 at 2pm and 5pm.
Elf: The Musical is based on the smash hit Will Ferrell movie about Buddy, a human raised by accident amongst elves at the North Pole, who travels to New York in search of his biological father - with unexpected and hilarious consequences.
This new production will feature both junior and senior sections of Easy Street, the company that was voted best Youth Theatre in the North East 2020 and 2021 and offers Sheffield's young creative talent the finest professional-grade theatrical training.
“Everybody at Easy Street is so excited to be getting into rehearsals for Elf,” said the company’s Artistic Director Sallianne Foster-Major.
“Never mind looking for an Elf on the shelf - we have a theatre full of them and we know this is going to be a real Christmas treat for all the family.”
