Dave Berry to aupport Woodhouse Community Theatre at special charity event
A true Sheffield music legend is returning to the spotlight this month to support one of the city’s most exciting community projects.

On Sunday. July 26, at 1pm, Dave Berry will appear at a special “An Audience with Dave Berry” event, raising vital funds for the Woodhouse Community Theatre Project.
Guests will enjoy an unforgettable afternoon as Dave shares stories from his remarkable career in the music industry, reflects on the golden era of British pop, and performs a selection of songs from his incredible catalogue of hits.

Best known for timeless classics including The Crying Game, Little Things and Mama, Dave Berry remains one of Sheffield’s most celebrated performers. His generous support will help the campaign to transform the former Woodhouse Trinity Methodist Church into a vibrant community theatre, arts and events venue for generations to come.
The Woodhouse Community Theatre Project, led by Woodhouse and District Community Forum in partnership with Darnall Musical Theatre Company, is working to save the historic former Woodhouse Trinity Methodist Church and create a permanent home for theatre, live music, arts, heritage and community events. Thanks to the incredible support of local residents, businesses and organisations, the campaign has already raised more than £21,000, with additional Gift Aid still to be claimed, but more support is needed to reach the £100,000 target to secure the building.
Jack Taylor, Chairman of Woodhouse and District Community Forum, said: “We are incredibly honoured that Dave has chosen to support our project. As one of Sheffield’s best-loved performers, his generosity and belief in what we’re trying to achieve means the world to us. This promises to be a wonderful afternoon filled with music, laughter and memories, while helping to create a lasting community theatre that future generations can enjoy.”
