Woman pushed into road in Sheffield attack

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a woman was pushed into a road in Sheffield.

South Yorkshire Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed an incident at the junction of Duke Street and Bernard Street, in Park Hill, at around 6pm on Wednesday, December 2, last year.

It is reported that a 33-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were driving along St Aiden’s Road in Sheffield, towards Duke Street, when they became aware that a silver Vivaro van was following them.

It is understood that the woman stopped her car at traffic lights at the junction of Duke Street and Bernard Street and got out of her car.

The driver of the van, a man who was known to the woman, allegedly pushed her into the road, causing an ankle injury.

It is alleged that an altercation then took place between the van driver, his two passengers and the 31 year-old man from the car.

Detective Yvonne Fairbrother said: “We have identified all suspects and victims within this investigation but are seeking witnesses to come forward.“The victim reports being assisted by man passing by. It is also believed other witnesses may be present and officers are keen to speak to them.”“Can you help? Did you see anything or know who helped the woman?”
