Young talent at festival

The Young Persons’ Platform - part of the ninth Bakewell Arts Festival - offers the Nigel Kennedys and Julian Lloyd Webbers of tomorrow the chance to share their talents with audiences from across the Peak District and beyond.

Organisers said this year’s festival had been the best ever.

Other highlights of the event included film workshops, live bands, the Bakewell Youth Theatre’s production of ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’ and a chill-down event on the final day called ‘Folk in the Gardens’.
