Woman biker fights for life
A WOMAN biker is fighting for life in hospital today after she crashed on a road just off the Woodhead Pass yesterday afternoon.
The 34-year-old woman was riding a silver Honda along the A6024 when it left the road close to the junction with the A628 in Woodhead at around 5.30pm.
She was taken to Tameside Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne where police say her condition is serious. There were no other vehicles involved.
