Unions out to repeal laws

TRADE unionists from across Sheffield were due to travel to London today to lobby Parliament as part of a campaign to repeal anti-union laws.

The Sheffield Bus Workers TGWU branch laid on a free coach so that people from Sheffield could take part in the lobby, as well as a rally in support of the Trade Union Freedom Bill organised by the Institute of Employment Rights and the Campaign to Repeal Anti-Union Laws.

A public meeting was also planned inside Parliament, welcoming several trade union speakers and MPs to talk about John McDonnell's bill - due to be laid before the House tomorrow.
