Some of the UK’s top archaeologists will uncover leading research at Dearne Valley College later this month.

The archaeologists will attend the college on May 31 to take part in a local conference called ‘Dearne Valley Archaeology Day’.

The conference, organised by Wath’s Elmet Archaeological Services Ltd and the Dearne Valley Archaeological Group, will showcase some of the leading archaeological research from around the UK.

There will be a number of top speakers from organisations covering such topics as the analysis of Egyptian mummies, the Sherwood Forest Archaeology Project, excavation of Roman London and Elmet’s own research into the WW1 Barnsley Pals training camp at Silverwood. For tickets, call 01709 873 053.
