True worth of education

A BRITISH education rakes in more cash for the UK economy than financial services or the vehicle trade, according to research carried out in Sheffield.

Dr Pamela Lenton carried out research at The University of Sheffield which found UK education and training exports were worth 28 billion in 2003 to 2004, compared to 19 billion for financial services and 20 billion for the automotive industry.
