Trio of Mayors at cancer campaign launch

A CANCER awareness campaign received a triple seal of approval when it was launched by the mayors of Sheffield, Chesterfield and Dronfield.

Weston Park Cancer Hospital in Sheffield held a launch event for their Think Pink campaign in Dronfield.

The campaign, which normally focuses on breast cancer awareness, has this year been widened to include all women's cancers.

Sheffield's Lord Mayor, coun Arthur Dunworth, the Mayor of Chesterfield, Coun Chris Ludlow and the Mayor of Dronfield, Coun Izzy Pryce, were treated to an Indian feast at Dronfield's Zara Premier restaurant, in Green Lane, as part of the campaign launch.

They were told about the advances being made in the research, treatment and care of women with cancer.

"At Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal we fund research across the range of women's cancer," said Weston Park organiser Catherine Newman.
